Signs your PS5 HDMI connection needs checking
- The socket is loose or has visible damage.
- The picture cuts out after the console or cable has been moved.
- The console powers on but there is no image on the TV.
Do not force or repeatedly wiggle a cable into a damaged socket. Tell us if the console was dropped, the cable was pulled or someone has already attempted a repair.
Before bringing your PS5 in
If the socket looks undamaged, check the TV input, try another suitable HDMI cable and connect directly to the TV rather than through an adapter or receiver. These checks can help separate an external connection problem from a console fault. A blank screen alone does not confirm a broken port.

The £45 service includes internal cleaning and re-pasting, or replacing or re-spreading liquid metal where appropriate for the console. We diagnose shutdowns and overheating first; other faults may need a separate repair, quoted before work starts.
All repairs include a six-month warranty. We confirm the expected turnaround after assessment, taking parts and workload into account. We do not offer controller stick drift repairs.
