A note on physically failed drives. We carry out software-level (logical) recovery from drives and media that are still detected by a computer. If a drive has physically failed — for example it’s clicking, not spinning or not detected at all — that needs specialist cleanroom recovery, which we don’t do in-house. We’ll always assess it first and tell you honestly so you can decide on the best next step.

Can you recover accidentally deleted files?
Often, yes. As long as the data hasn’t been overwritten, we can usually recover accidentally deleted documents, photos and other files. Stop using the device as soon as you notice, as continued use can overwrite the data.
My laptop or PC won’t start — can you get my files off it?
Usually, yes — if the drive itself is healthy and the problem is Windows or the file system. We recover your data and, if needed, can move it onto a new drive or external storage.
Do you recover data from a physically broken or “clicking” hard drive?
We carry out software-level recovery from drives that are still detected. A drive that has physically failed — clicking, not spinning or not detected at all — needs specialist cleanroom recovery, which we don’t do in-house. We’ll assess it and tell you honestly so you can decide on the next step.

Can you recover from a USB stick or memory card?
Yes — we recover from USB flash drives, SD and microSD cards and external drives, as long as the media is still detected by a computer.
How long does data recovery take?
It depends on the size and condition of the drive and how much data there is. We’ll give you a realistic timescale once we’ve done the free assessment.
Is my data kept private?
Yes. Your data is handled confidentially and only accessed to carry out the recovery you’ve asked for.
