Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions we’re asked most — about buying a computer, delivery and returns, our repairs, and visiting the shop. Can’t find what you need? Get in touch or call 0161 282 2548.

Buying & ordering

How can I buy from you?

Three ways: order securely online, call us on 0161 282 2548, or pop into our Stockport shop. For phone and online orders you can choose home delivery or free collection in store.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major debit and credit cards (in store and online), cash in store, and bank transfer. Finance / pay-monthly options are also available — just ask.

Can I see and test a computer before I buy?

Yes. You’re welcome to visit our Stockport showroom to try before you buy, with no obligation. We’ll happily talk you through the options and help you pick the right machine.

Do you sell to businesses and schools?

Yes — we supply and support businesses, schools and organisations, from a single laptop to a full fleet. Get in touch to discuss your requirements.

Delivery & collection

How much is delivery and how long does it take?

Standard UK delivery is free and takes 3–5 working days. Faster delivery is £10.95 for 1–2 working day delivery. Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and the Channel Islands are £19.99 (around 5 days). Need it urgently? Call us and we’ll do our best to help.

Can I collect my order instead?

Yes — collection from our Stockport shop is free. Just choose collection at checkout or mention it when you order by phone.

How will my order be sent and can I track it?

Laptops, PCs and MacBooks are sent by DPD; smaller items go by Royal Mail. You’ll get a tracking number by email when your order is dispatched.

Warranty & returns

What warranty do the computers come with?

Refurbished laptops, MacBooks and PCs come with a 12-month back-to-base warranty covering hardware faults, unless otherwise stated. Batteries are classed as consumables so aren’t covered, but refurbished laptops arrive with a battery holding at least 80% of its original capacity unless noted in the description.

Can I return something if I change my mind?

Yes. You can return an item within 14 days in its original condition with the packaging intact for a full refund, minus the delivery cost.

What if my item arrives faulty or develops a fault?

If an item arrives faulty or is damaged in transit, we’ll arrange collection and either repair or replace it — or give you a full refund if neither is possible. Faults found within 14 days qualify for free collection; after that you arrange the return shipping and we’ll sort it under warranty.

Is there any support after I buy?

Yes — every laptop, PC and MacBook comes with free telephone and remote support to help with setup and any initial questions.

What does “refurbished” actually mean?

Our refurbished computers are fully tested, cleaned and set up ready to use, and described honestly. They’re a reliable, lower-cost alternative to buying new, and they’re warranty-backed.

Repairs

How much does a repair cost?

It depends on the fault and any parts needed. We carry out free diagnostics first, then give you a clear, fixed quote before any work — and it’s no-fix, no-fee on applicable repairs.

How long will my repair take?

Many common repairs are completed the same or next day; some, like SSD upgrades, can be done while you wait. We’ll confirm a realistic timescale once we’ve diagnosed your device.

Do repairs come with a warranty?

Yes — completed repairs are covered by a workshop warranty. Ask us for the current terms when you book.

Can I post my device in for repair?

Yes. Our UK-wide mail-in service lets you send your laptop, PC or Mac to us from anywhere in the country.

Can you recover data from a faulty device?

Often, yes — we offer data recovery from drives and devices that won’t boot. Bring it in or post it to us and we’ll assess it.
