PS5 showing no picture?

A damaged HDMI socket is one possible cause. We check the fault before carrying out a repair.

HDMI port or no picture

Console HDMI repairs are £65. We diagnose first: other causes of no picture need a separate quote before work.

PS5 turns on but your TV says “no signal”? A loose or damaged HDMI port can interrupt the picture, but the socket is not the only possible cause. At AC Computer Warehouse in Stockport, we diagnose the fault before recommending a repair.

PS5 HDMI repairs cost £65, with a six-month warranty. Tell us whether you have an original PS5, Slim or Pro. Motherboard faults outside the HDMI repair need free diagnosis and a separate quote before any work.

Signs your PS5 HDMI connection needs checking

  • The socket is loose or has visible damage.
  • The picture cuts out after the console or cable has been moved.
  • The console powers on but there is no image on the TV.

Do not force or repeatedly wiggle a cable into a damaged socket. Tell us if the console was dropped, the cable was pulled or someone has already attempted a repair.

Before bringing your PS5 in

If the socket looks undamaged, check the TV input, try another suitable HDMI cable and connect directly to the TV rather than through an adapter or receiver. These checks can help separate an external connection problem from a console fault. A blank screen alone does not confirm a broken port.

How we approach PS5 HDMI repairs

We assess the port and display fault, explain the diagnosis and confirm the work with you. Where the socket is damaged, we replace it at board level in our workshop and test the display output afterwards. If the fault needs different motherboard work, we quote before proceeding.

We confirm turnaround after assessment, based on the fault, parts and workload. Describe any intermittent behaviour when booking so we know what to look for during testing.

The £45 service includes internal cleaning and re-pasting, or replacing or re-spreading liquid metal where appropriate for the console. We diagnose shutdowns and overheating first; other faults may need a separate repair, quoted before work starts.

All repairs include a six-month warranty. We confirm the expected turnaround after assessment, taking parts and workload into account. We do not offer controller stick drift repairs.
